Just imagine for a moment, a single mother (Leah) living all
alone working 8 hour days as a secretary, desperately to
provide food for her 8 hungry children. Unexpectedly she gets
notice from her land-lord that her 2 room apartment will now
cost another 100$/month! Leah quickly realizes that the 200$
she has in savings will only allow her and her 8 kids to stay for
another 2 months! Leah has no family support or friends, she is
literally on her own! the JRF has helped many of such cases,
where we have stepped in and prevented multiple evictions of
Jewish family.
We focus on food, rent, and many other essential physical needs
for the Jewish people where no one else is helping to prevent a
tragedy from happening to a Jewish family.
The spiritual health of a person can be helping with school
tuition, pair of tefillin, bar/bat mitzvah; where there is a need for
help but is not being filled by the family, friends, or local
community. JRF steps in and provides religious articles, religious
classes, Shabbot meals, to those seeking to become religious
and to be able to practice their Judaism.
